Dr. Anita Borg proposed the “50/50 by 2020” movement. This was to ensure that women earning computing degrees would be 50% of the graduates by the year 2020. However, the percentage of Computer Science degrees earned by women is still far from 50% throughout the world.
As part of Google’s ongoing commitment to promoting Anita’s vision, Google supports women in technology with the Women Techmakers Scholars Program (formerly the Anita Borg Memorial Scholarship).

Arizona State Anita Borg Scholarships 2020 is an academic award based on leadership and academic performance. It is available to women from all nationalities with an undergraduate degree in technology.
Students must have a 3.00 recalculated grade point average (GPA) (a “B” or better where “A”=4.00) from a secondary school, and three years of high school work.
Students should submit official high-school transcripts and other official documents .
Students whose primary language is not English must prove their knowledge of the English Language. Students from non-English speaking countries would do the same.

Aspirants have to obtain admission for the undergraduate degree program at the university to be enlisted in the program.
How To Win The Anita Borg Scholarship
According to Anannya Uberoi, one of the 75 scholars from all over the Asia Pacific to receive the prestigious scholarship, the application portal requires the submission of a CV. The CV should be updated, with a brief view of your technical skills, achievements, projects, and internships. It should include a shortlist of leadership and extra-curricular activities in a separate section. This might be relevant to the scholarship process.
